Build the Future of Local Information With Us
Local Internet Holdings is a technology platform company exploring strategic opportunities. We welcome conversations about partnerships, technology licensing, strategic investment, and potential acquisitions or other corporate transactions.
The Opportunity in 60 Seconds
- Local Internet Holdings is developing The Local Internet: a family of local, national and topic-based websites that all run on one shared foundation, The Local Core.
- The Local Core keeps each business and place once, applies review and approval rules to it, and shares it only to the websites where it is approved to appear.
- Shared records, geographic coverage, review and approval, public publishing and shared navigation are live today. Regional editions, wider distribution and AI coordination are built or proposed, and are labelled as such.
- An organization could use this foundation instead of building every part itself — through a partnership, a licence, an investment, or an acquisition or combination.
- We are exploring these options openly. No transaction is underway, and nothing here is an offer.
Who we are and what has been built
Local Internet Holdings is the organization developing The Local Internet ecosystem. The Local Core is its shared infrastructure: the records, place information and approval rules that every participating website uses. Some websites below are open to the public today; others are built but not yet open, and some are only proposed. They are parts of one system, not separately operating businesses.

What is operational today
Checked October 20, 2026.
Shared business records
LIVE6 real business records reviewed and published. Test and demonstration records are excluded.
Geographic coverage
LIVE50 states configured and 152 places visible to the public. Configured coverage does not mean content exists in every place.
Review and approval
LIVENew places, stories and placements wait for staff review. Nothing publishes automatically.
Distribution eligibility
IMPLEMENTEDEach website shows only records it is approved and eligible to show. Being eligible does not mean a website already publishes a record.
Actual public publishing
LIVEOne record appears on several of our own websites, each appearance with its own dated approval.
Shared navigation
LIVEOne navigator connects participating local and national websites.
Place context between websites
LIVEOn participating websites, a visitor's chosen community carries over between sites.
Featured placements
IMPLEMENTEDPlacement scheduling is built and has been used on our own websites. It does not show independent advertiser adoption or outside advertising income.
A practical example: one business record
Northland Advertising LLC, a Duluth, Minnesota business, shows how one record moves through The Local Core. Disclosure: this business is owned by the company's founder, so it shows how the system works, not customer adoption. Its "verified" label comes from an automated check that matched public identifiers in September 2026; it has not been verified by an independent third party.
Business record
One record holds the business's public details.
Geographic relationship
The record is linked to Duluth as a community it serves. That link was approved on September 20, 2026.
Governance
Each change and each website appearance needs its own approval.
Distribution eligibility
Websites that may show the record are recorded separately from websites that actually show it.
Approved publication
The record appears on several of our own websites, each with a dated approval. The same record is shown each time; it is never copied.
Optional promotion
The record has had featured placements on our own websites. These show the feature works; they are not outside advertising.
Why another organization could benefit
One foundation, many brands
A single shared core can support many websites, so each new brand does not need its own systems.
Reusable information
Business and place information is kept once and can be reused wherever it is approved to appear.
Governed publishing
Approval rules travel with the information, which could reduce the risk of publishing something unreviewed.
Every level of geography
The design supports national, state, county, city and topic-specific experiences.
Build on what exists
Partners could use existing infrastructure instead of building every component themselves.
Room to expand
The same foundation could extend across publishing, discovery, advertising and business technology.
These are capabilities and potential advantages of the design, not proven financial outcomes.
Opportunities by industry
Media and publishing
Publishers could explore shared geographic infrastructure for local and regional editions.
- Geography for communities, counties and states
- Local and regional editions
- Community information and events
- Business directories from shared records
- Editorial review and approval workflows
The geographic infrastructure and editorial workflows exist today. Regional editions are built but not yet publicly launched.
Local search and business discovery
Discovery products could draw on governed business and place information.
- Shared business records
- Relationships between businesses and the places they serve
- Verification labels that state what has and has not been checked
- Discovery websites at local, national and topic level
- Distribution eligibility and approved publishing
Not every eligible website already publishes business records; each appearance needs its own approval.
Marketing, advertising and business technology
Marketing and business-technology companies could explore local visibility built on approved records.
- Local business visibility across participating websites
- Featured placements
- Geographic targeting by community and region
- Business profiles
- Potential integrations with CRM or marketing platforms (not built)
Existing featured placements do not establish independent advertiser adoption or outside advertising revenue.
AI and future integrations
Structured, governed local information could support future AI products.
- Potential AI-assisted local discovery
- Structured access to approved business and place information
- LOCORION orchestration of six specialist agents
LOCORION and its six agents are PROPOSED and NOT OPERATING. No AI agents are connected today.

Strategic Assets and Portfolio
Local Internet Holdings holds a portfolio of domain names. Some of those names are operating websites built on The Local Core's shared infrastructure; others are held for future use. Owning a domain is not the same as operating a website on it, and not every website below is a separate business. The examples are public websites, shown to illustrate the architecture.
- One Local GridHow records, places and destinations relate and distribute.
- The USA StackWhat the American implementation is made of.
- The USA PlatformWhere businesses and organizations participate.
- The USA OSHow the system is operated day to day.
- The USA GridThe distribution structure behind publication.
- The USA SurfacesThe digital experiences the network produces.
- The Namespace CompanyThe namespace strategy behind the portfolio.
- Local Internet RegistryA public index of authoritative objects and recorded relationships.
We do not publish a domain count or a marketplace count here, because neither figure has yet been reconciled with a current, authoritative inventory.
